Warner Brothers has shut down production on their live-action “Akira” film due to casting and budgetary issues. It seems the projected budget of $90 million was just too much for the studio, while only “Tron Legacy” actor Garret Hedlund was attached to star. Warner was hoping to get the budget down to $70 and attract actors like Kristen Stewart, Gary Oldman, Ken Wattanabe, and Helena Bonham Carter. Now the future of the film is uncertain: http://www.cityonfire.com/kaneeeedoh/
